The 9 Best Budget Smartphones Compared [Chart]
Thanks for the great feedback on our 'Best Smartphone' comparison chart (which will be getting an update soon).
Those handsets are fantastic if you can afford them, but not everyone can or wants to spend that amount of money on their phone.
If that applies to you, well you're in luck, because thanks to good ol' cutthroat competition, there are lots of budget smartphones coming out of the woodwork.
They might have smaller screens than their high-end brothers, and perhaps you may not be able to run the best 3-D games smoothly, but there are handsets out there available for free on £15 contracts that are really pretty darn good.
It's clear that Android controls this market, and that's no surprise.. it's a really good OS, and it's available in a mix of different hardware.
This will continue until Apple releases a budget iPhone, or Nokia get their act together and put out a decent range of Windows Phone 7 handsets.
There's a lot to sift through though.. there's plenty of rubbish out there along with the choice pickings. You don't want something that will be outdated and you pick the wrong handset, you'll have the rest of the contract to regret it.
Well, we put our trained experts to work comparing dozens of the best low to midrange smartphones available in the UK, and ruthlessly dumped those which weren't up to par.
You'll find 9 best budget smartphones here in this chart along with ratings, specs and pricing - everything you need to make that all-important choice.
