Samsung Galaxy S Advance Officially Announced

The stylish curves of the Galaxy S Advance are an alternative for those who though the Galaxy S’ original pricing was a bit too steep.
Samsung has officially announced the upcoming release of the Galaxy S Advance, despite rumours and expectations that the handset would be announced at the Mobile World Congress next month.
The Galaxy S Advance has been described as an alternative Samsung’s original Galaxy S, but with better specifications.
It will come with a decent 1GHz dual core processor which will be powering the 4 inch curved WVGA AMOLED screen. As predicted, this will come paired with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and Google’s Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) operating system.
As usual the Galaxy S Advance will also come with several pre-loaded apps and features such as Samsung’s ChatON instant messaging service, Find my Mobile, Samsung Hubs and Kies Air.
Other confirmed specifications of the Galaxy S Advance include a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, autofocus and 720p HD video recording capabilities, 768MB of RAM, a 1500mAh battery for long lasting life, fast WiFi and HSDPA connectivity options and the option of either 8GB or 16GB of included storage.
No details regarding the handset’s pricing has been released yet, however it will most likely be a fair bit cheaper than the original Samsung Galaxy S.
If the rumours are true about the Galaxy S Advance not launching at the Mobile World Congress in February, then it is likely that we will see the smartphone released before the conference takes place.
But more details regarding availability and pricing are expected to be released soon.
