Sky Go Coming to Samsung Galaxy S2

The Sky Go application allows users to stream TV programs onto their smartphones wherever they go.

The popular TV streaming app, Sky Go, will be arriving on several different devices running on Android next month, as well as the iPhone and the iPad.

However, there will be a slight disappoint for some owners of Android handsets, as the app will not be coming to all smartphones. Instead, it will be launching on handsets and tablets from the high end of the platform.

Devices that will be receiving the app are the HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Sensation, HTC Incredible S, the Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S2.

Sky has also confirmed that the application will also be coming to more devices, although they haven’t confirmed the specifics.

Head of Sky Go, Holly Knill said “Sky Go is all about helping more people watch the TV they love wherever and whenever it suits them, so I’m delighted to announce the roll out of Sky Go to Android.”

“We know how much Android users have been looking forward to the launch of Sky Go on Android smartphones and we’ve done everything we can to make sure that our bespoke design is worth waiting for.”

“This latest announcement is all part of the process of constant evolution that has seen Sky Go move from strength to strength over its first six months, and we look forward to bringing more developments to the service as the year progresses”.
