New BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981 Coming

A black version of the BlackBerry P’9981 Porsche Design is to be released soon.

The high merchandise producer of the top quality German sports car, Porsche Design, is to release a successor to their super stylish, and super expensive, P’9981 BlackBerry phone.

The new model will again be named the Porsche Design P’9981 but will have the word ‘Black’ attached to the end. It will also have exactly the same specifications as its predecessor but will come in black.

The P’9981 is powered by a 1.2GHz processor and supported by 8GB of built in memory. However there is also a microSD card that can be expanded by up to 32GB. Included with the handset will be a 16GB microSD card.

The Porsche Design will run on the BlackBerry 7.1 operating system and will have a completely customised user interface from Porsche Design. It will also have an exclusive BlackBerry Message PIN. All of this is contained inside smooth black plastic and stainless steel.

CEO of Porsche Design Group, Jürgen Geßler, made a statement about the new released:

“Since the very beginning, our brand has been identified with the colour black. Our very first product was a completely black watch. It was a revolutionary product at the time and proved to be a great talking point all over the world. As it typical of Porsche Design, the choice of black had a functional significance. The ‘Chronograph I’ was inspired by the non-reflective design of racing car controls, with everything in matt black apart from the instruments. The aim was to ensure a clear and easy-to-read display. The Porsche Design P’9981 Black follows this tradition.”

If you fancy getting your hands on the Porsche Design P’9981 Black it will soon be available from the company’s official online store website, however they have yet to specify a release date. You’ll also have to pay an eye-watering price of around £1,200 as this was the price of the previous model.
