QWERTY BlackBerry 10 Phone Leaked

A picture of a new QWERTY BlackBerry handset has been leaked online.

So far the world has been waiting patiently for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 operating system and accompanying handsets, after manufacturer RIM was forced to push the launch date back several times over the year, and now the official date is the 30th January.

Even though the release date draws ever closer, that doesn’t stop leaked photos and information from making its way onto our computer screen. Today’s leak is a rather bright and blurry picture of the model rumoured to come with a full QWERTY keyboard.

If the picture is legitimate then we now know for definite that a full QWERTY BlackBerry 10 handset will be on our shelves in the early months of January 2013.

From the pictures, all we can tell so far is that this new handset looks a little like the current BlackBerry Bold handset. The only difference is that the new BlackBerry has a square screen and a straight keyboard and the hard shortcut keys normally positioned above the keyboard have been removed.

For those who are loyal to BlackBerry and don’t want to lose their keyboards, this handset shows that RIM are serious about tailoring their services to their needs.

It was officially confirmed a few weeks ago that Research in Motion (RIM), the manufacturer of BlackBerry, would be launching their new mobile operating system, BlackBerry 10, at numerous events around the world on the 30th January.

This means we don’t have to wait long before seeing what the new handsets and system have in store for us.
