An American multi-national telecommunications company, Motorola has been taking the world by storm since they emerged in 1928, when they first emerged with their radios and battery eliminators. They’ve come a long way since then and continue to impress the masses, particularly with their mobile phone handset releases.
Based in Illinois in the United States, Motorola specialises in the design, production, marketing and sales of wireless network infrastructure equipment, entertainment electronics and telecommunications devices. We first became wowed with the Motorola brand in the mid-ninties, when they released the MicroTAC flip phone, the likes of which we had never seen up to that point. Since these releases Motorola enjoyed a further resurgence with the RAZR handset in the mid-noughties, however it has been a bit downplayed in the latter half of the 2000s. Currently, Motorola has re-emerged and seeks to regain it’s reputation as a pioneering mobile phone manufacturer and is releasing a range of smartphones with Google Android on board. Motorola are creating some great mid-range smartphones that combine everything from business needs to recreation needs, with excellent cameras, media players, e-mail clients, web browsers, apps, games and more. Thanks to their partnership with Android, you can get plenty of great apps from the Android Marketplace and the phones run really quickly.
Motorola handsets can be purchased online or on the high street either SIM free or from a network provider. They are available on a variety of networks, as pay as you go or pay monthly contract options.
