Windows Phone 7 is a sleek, dynamic smartphone operating system. After the disaster that was Windows Mobile, Microsoft had to throw everything into creating a new OS, or risk falling out of the market altogether.
Windows Phone 7, while late to the smartphone party, brings enough to compete and to lure some consumers from the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry camps.
The interface is easy to use and attractive, and its 'Live Tiles' display live information right on your app icons. Integration with Zune means that Media handling and playback is strong as well. Handsets running WP7 tend to have impressive hardware specs, as Microsoft has set strict guidelines in this regard.
