Sit up and Take Note!
the ultimate in smartphones
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a fantastic device that combines the latest technology with a sleek and sophisticated style.
What We Like
If you're looking for a smartphone that is packed with power, then the Galaxy Note 2 could definitely be the one for you! Keeping up with the latest in technology, Samsung have equipped this device with a quad-core processor that, at 1.6GHz, makes the Note 2 the fastest phone to be released up to date, whilst also enabling it to be quicker than a vast variety of laptops.
With 64GB of inbuilt memory and the ability to accept a microSDXC card of up to another 64GB, the Samsung Note 2 has by far enough storage capacity to satisfy even the fussiest of users, especially when you also consider the whopping 2GB of Ram that can be found here.
As you would hope to find on a newly released, high end smartphone, the Galaxy Note 2's screen produces fantastic images that are both bright and vivid, thanks to its Super AMOLED screen. However, some users may be disappointed to learn that, at 1280 x 720 pixels, the resolution here is less than what we got with the original Samsung Note.
Because the Note 2 has so much to offer, we were more than slightly concerned that the battery life on this new release would be shockingly bad, and that the device wouldn't be able to cope with all its new features. Samsung hasn't disappointed though, equipping the mobile with a 3100mAh power supply that ensures that the new Note 2 can last as long as any other high tech smartphone on the market.
What We Don't Like
The most obvious feature of the Galaxy Note 2 is its sheer size; at 151mm long, and 81mm wide, this latest release from Samsung is even bigger than its predecessor, something which many users will find off-putting. Although it may be thin enough to sit comfortably in one hand, this tablet-like device requires two to be used, which isn't exactly convenient. However, we were not really surprised to find that this is the case, especially as the original Note couldn't exactly be called small.
Conclusion
Whilst the size of the Samsung Galaxy 2 may be a problem for some, we cannot help but feel that this mobile is a brilliant device that deserves serious consideration by anyone looking to purchase a new smartphone.
The inclusion of the latest type of processor, the quad-core, along with the more than impressive 2GB of RAM ensures that this new release from Samsung is without doubt the quickest mobile phone on the market today, making it perfect for gaming and surfing the web.
Thanks to its improved battery life, and 4G technology, the Galaxy Note 2 is an ideal device for anyone looking to get the very best out of a new style smartphone.
Avg. Rating
7.6The size is not bad but still big to place inside my pocket, but still I needed it so much.
For me Sony Ericson is the best and good phone, for my calls no lags even miss calls is recorded and battery is cool can last until 2 days.
I have the galaxy Note N7000 and is good enough of course the galaxy Note 2 is better.
My galaxy was bad I am not enjoying it anymore, it is cool but then it is the bad phone for savings files and without backup if it gets ruin it will never be save.
Calling stylus in fancy way as s-pen wont change the fact that its all a stylus with some fancy features but practically useless, people gave up resistive touch screen coz they fed up of stylus.
LG optimus is still a winner for me, having a 7,700 quadrant score and the display is best, the premium polarized glass materials is more accurate video recorder and photo shots.
For me it is amazing phone that I really loving the experience of having it so far from 3 days of purchasing it. I am still having fun using it as of now.
I was an N8 user, after that I bought oneX, camera was too bad, I sold that for Note2 and performance of this set is much satisfactory, like the video recording is too good with a slow and fast recording.
The stange thing is that after signing in with the username and password provided by the telecom company for changing configurations of the modem, the sign is gone.
I have the note and the note 2 the note 1 has what seams to be a bigger screen despite 5.3 and the note 2 a 5.5 and has more mp on the front camera it has more mega pixels and can stream football and t.v straight from the net but it is slow. the note 2 is almost the same as the not one but a lot faster but then cant stream has less screen pixels and less mega pixels if the note was faster I would pictures that the note 2 over 1 if it could stream any one know how I can make this happen.
Well, my Note2 survived 2 days with me. I had many mobile phones before that and I never had any problems with them, then the Note 2, It did not nearly leave my pocket and I did put it to charge and when I came back it had a crack on the side The company insist that I dropped it and refused to repair through the guarantee the other thing, that they did not have any replacement and they said I had to wait till it is available, It is my last time with any Samsung products.
This phone is simply so awesome, that u wont regret even a bit after buying this monster. I m using it from past 1 week but let me tell you that there isn’t any lag at all in this phone. Its got 2gb ram man how can it lag? And Samsung has given this monster the best display ever. All in all this is the best phone available in the market if size isn't an issue for you.
Nokia never had that throne, Sony Ericsson was by far the longest lasting phones. I used to buy and sell and repair and Nokia is the brand to go for if you want degrading hardware. All old symbian phones die slowly but surely, until they just stop in one way or the other. 6120c for example, NEVER seen an old one that didn’t have sudden reboot issues, those things would last a year and then get worst till they would not reboot at all.
Screen Brilliant, Processor amazingly fast, there is no app in the market this phone can’t run, the S Pen works perfectly and the hand writing recognition is amazingly sensitive. Although I feel that the S Voice responds a little slower. Another small lag is when you open the S Note with the pen. It takes about 3 to 4 seconds. In comparison to all other apps, this time is actually slow, but when your using a phone like this you feel it too, because everything else is actually faster.
I just brought SN2. Mine is titanium gray and its very well built good looking. Inspite of the big size it does not feels heavy. I am little bit disappointed about resolution. I am normally HTC fan I buy this only for bigger screen and S pen. This is a powerful device but I still miss quality built and sense of HTC.
Without a doubt, the best smart phone in the market. I owned 3 I Phones before getting my Note a little over 2 weeks ago and it has amazingly changed the way I use a hand-held device. It's a freaking computer! I use it more than my laptop.
Actually, I always like and using Samsung Galaxy Note II but it is not support with Khmer Unicode in Cambodia. If you can fix Khmer Unicode can support on Galaxy Note II as soon as possible, there will be have many Cambodian people happy to use it further more then you would expand your market in Cambodia as well.
Its a full computer into your hands everywhere you may go. The S Pen is of great use at university and meetings. Just epic. The 2 Gb of Ram kicks in when playing heavy games or multitasking. They could just had fitted an A15 cpu in it with a fresh new gpu, but the Exynos 4412 and Mali 400mp4 is up to anything by now.
My biggest fear in holding a phone is dropping in the sinks at my hair salon in Atlanta. I care it everywhere! Since we got the 4GLTE here in Atlanta, I've been tempted to get the Note 2 with AT&T; taking notes would be great. But I've heard HTC phones are great around water.
This is just perfect! I love it. Responsive, fast and easy to use. Canbe quite delivate at times and might hang every now and then, but these are things that you will be very willing to pass off as this phone isjust superb!
I do not know about a lot of people but I still think that there are a lot of better touchphones out there. Yeah, it is great but not that outstanding.
Honestly, I hate this phone. It is just too much for me. I should have stuck to much simpler phones that are within my range.
What more could one ask for? Its aMOLED touchscreen is very responsive and the size of the screen is really convenient. It makes all cell phone using much easier. Connectivity options are also varied especially with the 2g, 3g and 4g network capability. On top of it all, and what I like the most is its 8MP camera. Talk about quality pictures!
I do not know but the battery seems to drain awfully fast. I mean, mobile phones are not actually known to have long lasting batteries but with the note 2 it seems to get all exhausted much faster.
